Crawford Gives is almost here! It takes place August 30 and 31, which is only three short weeks away.
What is Crawford Gives?
Crawford Gives is the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation’s annual giving initiative. In its third year, it encourages the community to give to local organizations. There are well over 100 deserving charities looking for support from all sectors.
With such a large range of organizations, there is surely a cause that is close to everyone’s heart. Social, environmental, artistic, educational, the list goes on. One benefit of the program is that it brings to light all the non-profits doing amazing work in our community. Check out their website here for a list of all participating organizations and details about all of them.
Another benefit is that your donations work harder. How? There is a match pool of funds generously donated from sponsors such as Palmiero Toyota, Northwest Trust Services and Armstrong. The money is prorated and added to the community donations given to each organization. This is your chance to give to your favorite non-profits so that they have the best chance of meeting their goals in the coming year.
How Does it Work?
Log on to crawordgives.org on August 30 or 31. Select as many non-profits as you like and the amount you would like to donate to each. You can also donate by check using a form found at crawfordgives.org. It is recommended to turn in this form with your check in person and before August 30 to make sure your donation counts for the pro-rated match.
