Meet the Cast of “The Odd Couple (female version)”

The Odd Couple (female version) is playing now for its final weekend. Find out more about the actors who grace the stage of the Penny Smith Theater.

Susan Clark (Olive Madison) Susan is honored to take on the role of Olive, not only for the opportunity to develop and bring to life such a rich character but to be part of the most delightful cast she has had the pleasure to work with. Some of her most notable roles have been Winnie in Samuel Beckett’s “Happy Days,” Blanche Dubois in Tennessee Williams’ “A Streetcar Named Desire,” Alice Russell in Gore Vidal’s “The Best Man,” and her most recent performance, Candy Apple in “Drop Dead Gorgeous.” In her free time Susan feeds crows, is an avid procrastinator and delights in peppering the world around her with tomfoolery.

Bridget Pendolino (Florence Unger) Bridget has been doing shows at MCT since 2001. She is grateful to be part of another fun production. Her recent credits include “Drop Dead,” “The Dinner Party,” and “Fool for Love.” Bridget would like to thank Joe and Martie for all their hard work and guidance.

PJ Vogt (Sylvie) PJ Vogt is excited to return to the MCT stage after a 7-year hiatus. Sharing the stage with friends new and seasoned has been a true joy and she is beyond thankful to Director Joe Galbo for the opportunity to play Sylvie. PJ has been blessed to act alongside several members of this cast before as the Dragon in “Shrek,” Grandmama in “The Addams Family,” and numerous other storytelling opportunities. And while it might not earn stage credit, she wishes to call out her amazing D&D family, The Tabletop Thespians, for keeping her improv and acting skills sharp over the last 8 years. When not on stage, or playing D&D, she serves at Lighthouse Community Church in Conneaut Lake as the Worship Leader and Celebrate Recovery Ministry Co-Leader.

Sarah Medvec (Mickey) Since 1994 she has been involved with MCT both on and off stage, including in such shows as “Fools,” “Run for your Wife,” “Jake’s Women,” and “Love, Loss and What I Wore,” and most recently “The Man Who Came to Dinner.” Sarah was also a MCT board member for many years. She is currently the Woodcock Tax Collector. Sarah is so happy to be part of the first production in MCT’s new home at the Penny Smith Theater. And she hopes that those of you who knew Dave Neal will close your eyes and imagine his voice on the phone as Mickey talks to her husband Stanley. Thank you, Dave, for making me a better actor and always being the perfect on-stage partner.

Vickie Zeigler (Renee) Vickie is excited to be playing the part of Renee, the chain smoking friend with a penchant for Trivial Pursuit. She was the student director of her high school plays two years in a row, one being “Sound of Music” and the other was “Little Shop of Horrors.” This is her second time on the stage in over 30 years.

Barb Davis (Vera) Barb has been involved in many plays at MCT and The Academy including most recently in “The Man Who Came to Dinner” as well as Ouiser in “Steel Magnolias,” Mama in “Sweet Tea” and Mrs. Bennet in “Pride and Prejudice.” These last 10 years have been a childhood dream come true. She hopes you enjoy the show.

Chris Franko (Manolo Costazuela) Still abuzz from playing Beverly in MCT’s recent production of “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” Chris just couldn’t say no to another show, especially one as snappy and fast-paced as this! He thanks Neil Simon for the words, Joe for the notes, and his superfun and talented castmates for the laughs night after night. That “The Odd Couple” is the kick-off for the Penny Smith Theater is simply icing on the cake!

Jeremiah Saxton (Jesus Costazuela) Jeremiah is very excited to play character Jesus Constazuela in the MCT production of “The Odd Couple.” He really appreciates this opportunity of getting to perform with some of the most talented individuals in the area. He has been blessed to be able to perform at MCT over the years in many different productions such as “The Great Gatsby,” “One Flew Over a Cuckoo’s Nest,” “Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time,” “Drop Dead,” and “Misery.”
