Meet the Cast
Sweet Tea and Christmas Trees

MCT is excited to welcome the cast of Sweet Tea and Christmas Trees, both returning actors and those new to our stage!

Maribeth McCarthy is so freaking excited because she just loves CHRISTMAS! (And also teddy bears, glitter, chicken nuggets, tea and people who come see her shows 😉 ) She was last seen in the Meadville area in “The Last 5 Years,” and last worked for MCT on their production “Love Letters.” Before that, you may have seen her as Fraulein Kost in “Cabaret,” Daisy in “Side Show” or Maggie and the original “Sweet Tea and Baby Dreams.” She’s beyond happy to be working with this cast and some of her closest friends, and even happier to be performing an entire show in her pajamas 🙂

Meadow Campbell is a student at Thiel College, where she studies Political Science and Public Policy. She has a love for theater as well as her dog Jasper. She has been in various shows at MCT, her favorite being “Anne of Green Gables” where she played Diana, Anne’s best friend. You may have seen her in shows, or her face might be familiar from French Creek Coffee and Tea Co, where she is the favorite barista to many. Meadow says, “Please enjoy the show as much as Maribeth loves Christmas!”

Jamie Corey: “My name is Jamison but everyone calls me Jamie. But as for being in plays, I’ve never been in a play. My mom really wanted me to be in one and her friend was involved in this play. I’m excited to be in this play and looking forward to how it will play out.”

Meagan Daugherty is excited to return to the MCT stage once again! Meagan was the original Zee in the Pennsylvania debut of “Sweet Tea and Baby Dreams” and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring back her adaptation of the character for “Sweet Tea and Christmas Trees.” While she may not be bringing the wine, she is bringing the laughs even if she’s not the one laughing (at least on stage, because we all know we can’t stop her off stage). Let’s get lit!

Barb Davis is happy to again be playing the unstoppable Mama Jubilee. Mama is one strong Southern lady and a real challenge to everyone that knows her. Barb’s last role at MCT was the mother in “Pride and Prejudice.”

“Hmm…I am sensing a pattern here & yes, everyone calls me Mama.”

Nerissa Galt is thrilled to be back on the MCT stage after a 12-year hiatus. This is also her first time ever on stage with her daughter, Meadow Campbell. She wants to thank the cast and crew for making this such a memorable (magical) experience.

Thomas Greene is very excited to be in his first MCT show! Despite growing up at the Barrow in Franklin performing in dozens of shows, Thomas is happy to be making the move over to MCT for such a festive show! He would like to thank his wife Bry and promise his daughter Emmie many catch up bed time stories.

Jim Hollerman is happy to return to the MCT stage after a bit of an absence. It is a pleasure to be working with the cast and crew of this show.

Adam Leute is happy to reprise his role as Quinn in “Sweet Tea and Christmas Trees.” He is no stranger to the stage, having done “Side Show,” “First Date” and “Cabaret” throughout the years.

Chole Loose: “In 3rd grade I started acting right here at MCT and I haven’t stopped since. I’m happy to be returning to the stage that gave me my community theater debut and lead me on a journey that has brought me so much joy, excitement, and confidence.”

Ellen McCarthy is so grateful to reprise her role as Nora after a long hiatus. Previous favorite roles include Violet in “Side Show” and Casey in “First Date.” When she’s not having a blast with this amazing cast and incredibly gifted sister, Maribeth, you’ll either find her at the Post Office or crocheting as she watches an absurd amount of Hallmark Christmas movies with Tiggy and Little Bear.

Ellis Pierce is a third year music composition student at Mercyhurst University and registered nurse. This is Ellis’ first production here at MCT!

Having performed locally at the Riverside, Academy, Baldwin Reynolds House and working backstage and assisting directing with MCT, Mary Lee Ross is excited to be back on the MCT stage with this talented cast and crew. Originally from Meadville and recently returned, Mary performed all over the Tampa Bay Area. Some roles include Maggie in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and Golde in “Fiddler on the Roof.”
